Eating with ADHD and Autism: a practical workshop

We’re really excited to announce our new series of workshops which we’ll be running across the UK, helping people to better understand how ADHD and autism impact eating behaviours. It’s time to ditch the guilt and get to grips with your own patterns in a safe, judgement-free space.

You may have been diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, and want to make sense of what it means, or perhaps you're a parent struggling through mealtimes with a neurodivergent child, wondering why it feels so hard. Either way, you’re not alone. Our community here at So Nutrition is all about providing holistic support to help you in your daily life. We want people to feel welcomed and understood, whilst taking away ideas that they can genuinely put into practice.

First up for our brand new workshop is Harrogate, where we’ll be hosting a morning at The Barrows, a hidden gem of a venue complete with its own secret garden to set the scene before you even walk through the door. Stop. Breathe. Relax. Switch off the phone and give yourself a few hours to focus on you.

And whilst doing that you’ll also be supporting a fantastic charity as each of our workshops will raise funds for a local organisation, starting with Autism Angels.

Based in North Yorkshire, Autism Angels was founded by Sarah Kekoa and supports autistic and neurodiverse children and their families through therapy and learning activities built around the outdoors. What that means in practice is promoting health and wellbeing through the natural environment and working with animals.

“Bringing our workshop to Harrogate marks an exciting step in our plan to support more communities across the UK," says So Nutrition’s Sarah Osborne. "I’m delighted that we’re partnering with Harrogate Mindfulness and Autism Angels as we have a shared philosophy when it comes to a holistic approach to wellbeing."

Venue: The Barrows, Weetons, Leeds Road, Harrogate

Date: Wednesday 18 November

Time: 9am-12.30pm
