We're so excited to announce our brand new series of workshops at So Nutrition, starting this month with When food feels hard: ADHD, cravings and emotional eating. If you've ever felt like food is a constant battle, this one is for you.
Two of our nutritionists, Sarah Osborne and Becca Tym, will present a one-hour online session exploring the connection between ADHD and your relationship with food.
Why do cravings feel so intense? What's really behind emotional eating? And how do you start feeling more at peace with yourself around food? This workshop covers it all.
Sarah, who has worked with hundreds of neurodivergent individuals, says the most common thing she hears is: "Why does eating feel so all-or-nothing for me?" If that resonates, she wants you to know there's a reason for it that’s rooted in your brain and biology, not your willpower.
In the session, Sarah and Becca will walk you through what's really happening in your brain around cravings and impulsivity, how your gut and biology are shaping your mood and appetite and the simple evidence-based steps you can take straight away.
Becca brings her own personal experience to the table too. "If you feel like you constantly lose control around food, skipping meals then eating everything in sight, or just feeling stuck in the same exhausting patterns, we’ll help you understand what’s behind this." She'll be sharing her own journey with emotional and impulsive eating, and what helped her make sense of it.
You'll leave feeling less alone and with practical steps you can start using right away. There's also a live Q&A at the end so you can bring your own questions.
